Hair
A demo session showed hair options on the avatar screen. A style count is not part of that creator.
just volleyball characters are one player you personalize. A simple avatar creation system is in the demo and in the full game. There is no named fighter roster to unlock.
See the avatar categoriesHair, face, voice and a jersey number are the avatar categories from the October demo. Jersey 0 arrived in playtest v0.76.A demo session showed hair options on the avatar screen. A style count is not part of that creator.
The same session showed face designs. The screen works like the Wii Mii Channel: you shape the player yourself.
Voice sits beside hair and face. There is no voice list and no sample count to browse.
A jersey number is the fourth category on that screen. Playtest v0.76 later allowed the number 0.

From v0.76 on September 25, 2026, you can set your jersey number to 0. That update also bumped the online version, so playtesters had to take the patch before online matches would continue.
Jersey 0 arrived in the playtest, app 5037230. The October demo's avatar screen includes a jersey number. Whether 0 can be picked in that demo build is still unknown.

Character customization is a simple yet dynamic avatar creation system that personalizes your player. The demo and the full game both include it, next to offline bots and online play. You dress the same player you take into a 1v1 or a 6v6.
An October 2026 demo session shows the avatar screen's categories: hair options, face designs, voice, and jersey number. The screen works like the Wii Mii Channel, a creator you shape yourself. It does not show how many hair, face, or voice options you get.
just volleyball characters means this creator, because the game does not ship a selectable named cast. The 19 on the orange court above is a digit on a shirt. It does not make that player a fighter with stats or a role.
Set hair, face, voice, and jersey number before the first serve. An October demo session on a controller changed all four, then moved with the left stick and aimed with the right stick. Jersey 0 has been valid since v0.76 on September 25, 2026. That patch also bumped the online version, so a playtester who skipped it could not stay in online matches. The orange-court shirt numbered 19 and the locker shirt numbered 25 are two kits, not two characters.
The full game adds replay mode alongside the avatar creator. Replay is for reviewing highlights and capturing cinematic moments. It is a watch-back tool, not another slider on the avatar screen. The demo's customization options do not include replay.
Use the creator when you want a different hair, face, voice, or jersey before the rally. Use replay when you want to see a point again. The locker, with jersey 25 and the captain-uniform and gym-outfit tabs, is on the Online page. The categories above are what the October demo showed on the avatar screen.
Replay on the full game, app 5037200, plays highlights and cinematic moments after the rally. The free demo, app 5401090 from October 19, 2026, stops at the avatar creator, bots, online play, and team sizes from 1v1 through 6v6. When the full game arrives on November 4, 2026, the watch-back is there. Until then the October demo is where you try hair, face, voice, and a jersey number.
